SALT LAKE CITY — Police located a man allegedly involved in a theft and arrested him on drug charges Sunday morning.

Police located a parked vehicle that had been connected to a robbery, according to detective Greg Wilkings. The car was parked at the Wasatch Inn at 1416 S. State and police discovered the registered owner of the vehicle, 53-year-old Hoang Vu, had several outstanding warrants.

When police arrived at Vu's hotel room, they found various drug-related items in plain view in the man's hotel room, Wilkings said. A search warrant was obtained and officers found cocaine, heroin and meth in the room.

Vu was arrested and booked into the Salt Lake County Jail in connection with three counts of possession of drugs with intent to distribute.
