Albuquerque comes from behind to beat Bees

ALBUQUERQUE- Albuquerque stunned the Bees with nine runs in the fifth inning, as the Isotopes rallied for an 11-8 win over Salt Lake on Monday night. The Bees led 5-2 going into the bottom of the fifth before eight of the first nine Albuquerque batters reached base.

A two run triple by Joc Pederson got the Isotopes to within one and he scored the tying run on a single by Clint Robinson. After Trayvon Robinson doubled to put runners at second and third, Griff Erickson singled to drive in two and put Albuquerque ahead to stay. Miguel Rojas closed out the scoring in the inning with a three run homer, as the Isotopes sent fourteen batters to the plate in the fifth.


Salt Lake starter Brooks Raley (0-3) took the loss, as he went four and one-third innings and allowed eight runs on ten hits with three walks and two strikeouts.

The Bees jumped ahead with three runs in the top of the first on a two run double by Luis Jimenez and an RBI single by Efren Navarro. Offensively, Brennan Boesch led the Bees with four hits and three runs batted, while Jimenez added three hits and three RBI. Navarro chipped in with three hits, including two doubles, and one RBI.
