OGDEN — A man was in critical condition after being stabbed by two gang members Saturday, police said.
Jose Garcia and Julio Saucedo are documented gang members who were involved in a fight at a party near 1100 22nd Street at about 1 a.m., according to the Ogden Metro Gang Task Force. A 40-year-old Ogden man with no gang affiliation was stabbed several times during the fight, police said.
"Although Garcia and Saucedo are members of a criminal street gang, the victim has no gang affiliation, and it is evident that the incident did not stem from any gang rivalry," a statement from the Metro Gang Task Force reads.

The man was listed in extreme critical condition after being transported to a local hospital, police said.
Garcia and Saucedo were located within 48 hours of the incident by the Ogden Metro Gang Task Force and Ogden City Police patrol, investigators said.
Garcia, 28, was booked into the Weber County Jail on suspicion of attempted criminal homicide and assault. Saucedo, 29, was booked into the Weber County jail on suspicion of attempted criminal homicide, tampering with evidence and assault.
Police said both men are being held at more than $20,000 bail.
