TAYLORSVILLE — TAYLORSVILLE — Three people were hospitalized early Tuesday after police say a van ran a red light and hit another vehicle.

Unified police responded to a crash that occurred near 5400 S. Redwood Road, just before midnight Monday. A white van ran a red light and crashed into a dark van that was northbound on Redwood Road, according to Unified Police Lt. John Barker.

The northbound van rolled and a passenger inside received serious head injuries and was taken to a local hospital, police said. One occupant from each vehicle was transported with minor injuries.

Police do not believe drugs or alcohol were involved in the accident. Police expect that the driver of the white van will be cited.
