HILL AIR FORCE BASE — More than 130 airmen from the 388th Fighter Wing and Air Force Reserve 419th Fighter Wing were welcomed home by friends and family Tuesday.
The service men and women were deployed for four months to the Osan Air Base in the Republic of Korea.
"This one felt like it lasted forever," said Mindy Rasmussen, wife of a returning airman.
The service men and women worked as pilots, maintainers and personnel providing F-16 air support as part of the routine U.S. Pacific Command Theater Security Package rotation.
"This deployment enabled the Airmen from both the active duty and Reserve to provide for our nation's continued commitment to stability and security in the Asia-Pacific region," said Col. Lance Landrum, 388th FW commander. "Our nation's Air Force has been deploying constantly around the globe since August 1990 and this is just another example of their dedication and their families' sacrifice. We're eager to welcome them home."
About 70 more airmen arrived back in Utah over the weekend.
