SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake Bees returned home from an eight-game road trip to beat the Albuquerque Isotopes 12-2.

The Bees had an explosive night offensively that started with Luis Jimenez hitting a solo home run in the first inning. The Bees bats got hotter with Taylor Lindsey, Grant Green and Jimenez all hitting home runs in the third inning to give the Bees a 5-0 lead.

It was the fourth time in franchise history the Bees hit back-to-back-to-back home runs.

C.J. Cron added the Bees's fifth home run in the sixth inning. It was the first time since July 29, 2012 the Bees hit at least five home runs in a single game.

Efren Navarro continued his record breaking season earning his 500th hit for the Bees in the sixth inning. The hit tied him for first all-time for number of hits in Bees history. He holds the records for most multi-hit games and doubles in franchise history.

Salt Lake started Jarrett Grube earned the victory for the Bees improving his record to 2-1. Grube went 7.0 innings throwing six strikeouts and giving up 2 runs and 3 hits. RHP Stephan Fife was the losing pitcher. Fife lasted 3.0 innings giving up five hits and five runs.

"It was good to see some guys barrel some balls tonight," said Salt Lake Manager Keith Johnson. "After a tough road trip, it was good to see guys put together good at bats up and down the lineup."

The Bees will return to Smith's Ballpark on Sunday to play the second game of the four-game series with Albuquerque.
