SALT LAKE CITY — This photo gallery features vintage photos of athletes from the 1924 Winter Games in Chamonix, France, and the 1932 Winter Games in New York. The 1924 Winter Games are referred to as I Olympic Winter Games because they were the first time Olympics had been held in the winter. The 1932 Winter Games, or III Olympic Games, were the first ever held in the United States.

All of these photos come from the official reports for the 1924 and 1932 Winter Games. Following every Olympic Games, an official report is compiled featuring detailed information on the event's planners, location, athletes and competitive results. You can view every Winter Games report, including the report for the 2002 Winter Games held here in Utah, by visiting this website.
