TABIONA, Duchesne County — A Tabiona man was injured Monday after his pickup truck was rear-ended by a logging truck, the Utah Highway Patrol said.
Dean Sweat was driving east on state Route 35 about 3 p.m. when he slowed to make a right turn. Wesley Fabrizio was behind Sweat, driving a logging truck, and crashed into the back of Sweat's pickup, according to UHP trooper Luke Stradinger.
The crash caused both trucks to roll. The logging truck came to rest across SR-35, shutting the two-lane road down for "a couple hours," Stradinger said.
Sweat, 57, was taken by ambulance to Uintah Basin Medical Center in Roosevelt, where he was treated and later released.
Fabrizio, 51, was not injured, the trooper said. He was issued a citation for following too close.
