PARK CITY — The skier who died Tuesday at Deer Valley was identified by the resort Wednesday.

Michael S. Leone, 65, was killed after colliding with a tree on the Keno ski run just above Nabob on Bald Mountain at 11:30 a.m., Deer Valley resort reported.

The West Palm Beach, Fla., man was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. Ski patrol and Air Med staff responded, unsuccessfully attempting to revive him, according to the resort. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
