SALT LAKE CITY — In this Sunday Edition, a closer look at a plan to raise money for schools by eliminating the family child tax exemption. Plus, Lt. Gov. Segment 1

Senator Pat Jones is planning on sponsoring a bill that would raise $400 million in new, ongoing funding for Utah's public schools — but at the cost of an income tax exemption that benefits large families. Richard Piatt discussed the proposal with Sen. Jones and Royce Van Tassell from the Utah Taxpayers Association.

Segment 2

With the news that Lt. Governor Greg Bell is stepping down, speculation is rampant about who might replace him. Richard Piatt discussed the list of possible replacements with political reporters Dennis Romboy and Lisa Riley Roche from the Deseret News.

Segment 3

If you like putting the pedal to the metal and hitting 80 miles an hour, you're now legal on some stretches of rural Utah highway. 290 miles of road will now have the 80 miles per hour speed limit.
