SALT LAKE CITY — Utah Jazz head coach Tyrone Corbin will participate in the 2013 Basketball without Borders (BWB) camp in South Africa, it was announced Wednesday by the NBA and FIBA. Basketball Without Borders is the global basketball development and outreach program for the NBA and FIBA.

From the press release:

"I am excited to be part of Basketball without Borders for the first time and to share basketball with the world through this international program," said Corbin, who is entering his 10th season as an NBA head or assistant coach. "There are so many opportunities that can be afforded to young people through playing the game, to better themselves and their lives."

BWB Africa will return to Johannesburg, South Africa for the 10th time Aug. 29 - Sept. 1, and will also feature Bismack Biyombo (Charlotte Bobcats), Kyrie Irving (Cleveland Cavaliers), Al Horford (Atlanta Hawks), Luol Deng and Joakim Noah (Chicago Bulls), and Serge Ibaka, Thabo Sefolosha and Hasheem Thabeet (Oklahoma City Thunder), along with NBA Global Ambassador Dikembe Mutombo, as camp coaches.

BWB features NBA players and coaches training top youth players and leading daily life-skills seminars on values such as leadership, character development and living a healthy lifestyle. Through NBA Cares, the league's global social responsibility program, the NBA players and coaches participate in community outreach efforts highlighted by the creation of places for children and families to live, learn or play.
