OGDEN — The Lone Peak Knights beat the Brighton Bengals 53-27 to advance to the 5A Championship.

Brighton started off the game well but then decided to stall the game to try to stay with the powerful Lone Peak team. Brighton only took eight shots in the first half and no points were scored in the second quarter by either team.

Brighton's Brandon Miller had a game-high 19 points and was 12-12 from the free-throw line. This game was clearly overshadowed by Brighton's strategy to stall the game to try to take Lone Peak out of their game.

Lone Peak had three players in double figures led by T.J. Haws with 15, Connor Toolson with 13 points, and Eric Mika with 11.

Lone Peak will look to win their third consecutive title as they face Alta in the 5A Championship Saturday.
