MESA, Ariz. — It was a mega-wedding day at the Mormon temple in Mesa, Ariz., last week, as five siblings from the Waldie family got married on the same day.

The East Valley Tribune reports the five Waldie children all got engaged within a few months of each other.

While trying to plan wedding dates with out-of-state family and guests, dad Doug Waldie suggested they all marry on the same day.

So five of the eight Waldie children got married Friday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' temple in Mesa: 28-year-old Emily, 26-year-old Bradford, 25-year-old Sydney, 24-year-old Walker and 20-year-old Brooke.

[Fox News](<http://5 couples in same family marry on same day in Mormon mega wedding>) in Phoenix reports three of the couples were married in the morning, the other two in the afternoon. Eighteen-year-old Andee Waldie, one of two unmarried sisters, was a bridesmaid for four of the couples.

When they exited the temple, the couples faced 100 degree-plus weather. "It's really hot," one bride said. But another added, "We're having a blast."

"I'm all red and I'm dripping, but we're married!" a third bride said.

Each ceremony was separate, but a reception was held in an airport hangar museum for all five couples that night. It included traditions such as throwing the bride's bouquet -- times five, and ended with a flash mob by the 10 brides and grooms.

"Today has been the greatest day I can remember in ... forever," Doug Waldie said. "We're happy, we're thrilled. Our kids are happy. This is as good as it gets."
