MURRAY — A woman is in critical condition after she was hit by a Utah Transit Authority bus while helping another woman who was involved in a scooter crash.
The incident happened just after 3 p.m. Wednesday at approximately 4500 South and 310 East in Murray.
Ken Bass of the Murray Police Department said the woman in the scooter crashed after something distracted her. As she went down, a woman on the north side of 4500 South attempted to cross the road to help the woman before being struck by a UTA bus.
The woman hit by the UTA bus was transported to an area hospital and is in critical condition. The woman who crashed on her scooter is in stable condition and sustained injuries that are not life-threatening.
