SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Utah Jazz wrapped up the NBA preseason with a perfect record.

Now, the games get real.

Rudy Gobert totaled 18 points and seven rebounds to finish with a game-high plus-minus of 30, and Derrick Favors added 11 points and 12 rebounds with two assists and two steals to help the Jazz overwhelm Sacramento 132-93 Thursday night in the final game of the 2018 NBA preseason.

Utah jumped out to a 39-10 lead after the first quarter, and never looked back. Donovan Mitchell supplied 13 points and three assists for the Jazz, who finished 5-0 in preseason play and open the regular season next Wednesday, Oct. 17 at Sacramento.

The Jazz went 16-of-19 on shots contested in the restricted area during the first half of play.

Everyone was getting involved.

Alec Burks had 17 points off the bench, Jae Crowder added 12 points and three rebounds, and rookie Grayson Allen supplied 14 points, including a pair of 3-pointers.

Eighteen players saw playing time for the Jazz — everyone except injured center Isaac Haas. Marvin Bagley III led the Kings (2-3 preseason) with 17 points and eight rebounds, and Willie Cauley-Stein added 16 points.

Utah’s home opener is next Friday, Oct. 19 against the defending champion Golden State Warriors. Tipoff is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. MT.
