CLEARFIELD — Two males from rival gangs have been arrested in connection with a house party that got out of control and resulted in multiple people being shot.

Clearfield police on Wednesday announced they had arrested 19-year-old Mark Anthony Pizana, of Brigham City, and a 15-year-old Clinton boy whose name was not released. Pizana is believed to be a member of the Norteños gang out of Ogden. The teen was a member of the rival East Side Longos gang, according to a statement from Clearfield police.

On March 16, Destiny McCubbin hosted a house party while her parents were out of town. The 16-year-old said she wanted it to be like the movie "Project X," a film about three friends holding a party while their parents are gone.

And like the film, the party got out of control after word spread and an estimated 170 people showed up, including gang members. Several hours after the party started, McCubbin said she was trying to get rid of uninvited guests when rival gang members showed up and opened fire.

Investigators continued to look for additional suspects Wednesday. Anyone with information can call police at 801-525-2837.

Originally, it was reported that stray bullets randomly hit four people, including McCubbin. Three of the victims were treated at the hospital and released shortly afterward. A fourth person was more seriously injured. Evan Ward, 19, of Layton, was shot in the throat but has since been released from the hospital.

Wednesday, police revealed that the 15-year-old who was arrested had also been shot, bringing the total number of victims to five. He had been shot in the leg but had not reported it to anyone and did not seek medical attention, according to police. Detectives advised him to get medical attention before taking him to the Farmington Bay Youth Center for investigation of rioting.

Pizana was arrested for investigation of rioting and obstruction of justice for his role in the fight and for allegedly driving other suspected rioters away from the scene after the shootings, according to police.
