BOSTON (AP) — Whoever opens Boston's time capsule in 2114 will find a David Ortiz bobblehead doll and a medal from last year's Boston Marathon.

The Bostonian Society says the Red Sox slugger's figurine and the medal from the marathon the year it was bombed are among 26 items contained in the new capsule.

The copper box has been inserted into the head of a golden lion statue that has long stood guard over the Old State House. It replaces a 1901 capsule opened last month. Other items include an Apple iPhone 5, a Legal Sea Foods restaurant menu, letters, essays, photographs and newspapers.

The lion and a companion unicorn statue will be returned to their public perches Sunday. The Bostonian Society says it hopes the capsule will be opened in 100 years.
