Right now, political wonks see New Hampshire the center of the known Universe and the day started with a debate on NBC that allowed a rematch for those who didn't quite connect their punches aimed at Mitt Romney last night at Saint Anselm College.

But, today no punches were pulled and some hit home, especially Jon Huntsman's comeback on his poor response last night on his service as U.S. Ambassador to China. No Mandarin cuteness this morning, just a straight shot at the suggestion he shouldn't have taken the position by labeling Romney's attitude as a reflection of why we are so divided today. The former Governor of Massachusetts was clearly flustered and the crowd gave Utah's former governor a rousing round of applause. Huntsman spent the rest of the day driving home the point that service to America should come first, regardless of political affiliation.

I later had the chance to ask Newt Gingrich his thoughts on the exchange and he compared Huntsman's service to that of Henry Cabot Lodge during the administration of Lyndon Johnson and felt that Romney's response was "self-serving." I'll play his complete response on Monday's show.

But, lest you think this wasn't a good day for Mitt Romney, you should have seen the adoring crowd gathered at Exeter High School, about thirty minutes outside of Manchester. Two gymnasiums were packed with press and supporters anxious to see not only Mitt Romney, but Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey, as well. And save only the few protestors that chanted, "Mitt cuts jobs" and "Christie cuts jobs," the crowd lapped up everything. By the way, Gov. Romney handled the outbursts with grace and Gov. Christie wasn't afraid to give them a little Jersey smack down that his fans loved.

There are so many things going on here in New Hampshire that I can't cover it all here, but we'll spend three hours on Monday and on Tuesday sharing as much as we can including a great conversation with Bay Buchanan, a very interesting exchange with protesting Jewish Rabbis who want to do away with the State of Israel and, of course a play-by-play of the feast enjoyed at the "Red Arrow Diner" by our KSL Radio and TV crew. Rich Piatt will have highlights on Channel 5. Oh, I must confess that I sat in the booth with the label, "Sen. Hillary Clinton sat here." Heaven help me if I ever want to run for Mayor of Eureka.
