SALT LAKE CITY — For the second consecutive week, BYU quarterback Taysom Hill has been named the KSL.com Player of the Week. Although the other nominees were equally deserving, what Hill did against Texas undeniably makes him the best player this week.

Player of the Week:

Taysom Hill, QB, BYU

Hill accounted for 280 yards of total offense and three touchdowns in BYU's 41-7 win at then-No. 25 Texas. Hill led BYU to scores in all six of the team's red zone appearances. He was a dominating presence on the field while leading BYU's offense to 28 first downs and a 34:13 to 25:47 advantage in time of possession.

Hill completed 18-of-27 passes for 181 yards with one interception and led BYU with 99 yards rushing and three touchdowns on the ground. He had a long run of 30 yards on a touchdown run while also scoring on runs of 2 and 1 yards. His pass completion rate of 73 percent for the season ranks eighth nationally. He leads all FBS quarterbacks in touchdown's scored, is second among FBS quarterbacks in yards/carry and is third in QB rush yards/game.

Honorable mentions:

Travis Wilson, QB, Utah

The 6-foot-7 junior quarterback showcased Utah's full offensive playbook Saturday against Fresno State, throwing for a career-high five touchdowns and accounting for over 200 yards in total offense in just over two quarters of play as he watched from the sidelines after building a 38-7 lead for the Utes.

JoJo Natson, WR/PR, Utah State

The junior wideout was Utah State's top receiver in a 40-20 home win over Idaho State, hauling in six balls for 59 yards. He also added a 52-yard punt return for a touchdown on one of his two punt returns of the night, a feat that helped the Aggies break open a defensive struggle with a special teams play.

Deon'tae Florence, CB, Weber State

Florence had one interception and three tackles in Weber State's loss on Saturday.
