This is Marty Carpenter in for Lane Beattie of the Salt Lake Chamber with your Utah Business Report.

As part of the Days of '47 celebration, there is a new kind of event where Utahns can experience the pioneer life of the 1850s. It's called The Frontier Camp and it's free for the public.

The Frontier Camp has five different sites to experience: the Cowboy, Native American, Pioneer, Mountain Men Traders and Buffalo Soldier camps. Authentically dressed representatives at each camp recall life from the 18-hundreds. A dutch oven competition, stage entertainment as well as wagon and pony rides are also available.

The Camp is open July 19th and 20th, and the 22nd through the 24th on the east plaza of the Energy Solutions Arena.

Frontier Camp is presented by The Gardner Company. Utah Governor Gary Herbert will declare "Celebrating Utah," a new initiative from the Days of '47 increasing pioneer-themed celebrations in Utah, on July 20 at 2 p.m.

Don't miss this interactive experience as part of Utah's heritage at the Days of '47 Frontier Camp this weekend!
