This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.

The story starts many years ago when Bing Crosby, of Crosby Collection in Park City, was growing up in New Mexico. He was working in his parents' restaurant. It was there that he was first exposed to the Native Americans who would come to the restaurant to sell their beautiful jewelry to tourists. Bing grew to respect their skill, taught through generations.

After he graduated from high school, he talked his parents into letting him open a Native American gift shop in their restaurant. The rest, as they say, is history. In partnership with his wife, Vickie, he is now the owner of Crosby Collection, with two locations on Main Street in Park City.

Crosby Collection is a premier dealer in Native America collectibles. They offer a selection of jewelry, pottery, Navajo textiles, Zuni fetishes and other treasures inspired by the Indian crafts that captivated Bing as a child and led to the founding of his business around 60 years ago. During his career, Bing has traveled over 70,000 miles, often visiting around 12 shows a year, to find the pieces offered in his store, located at 419 and 513 Main Street.

One of their specialties at Crosby Collection is turquoise and they feature many beautiful and unique pieces created out of this material, which is becoming harder to find every year. Bing has now spent 60 years in the Native American art and jewelry business, and has great respect for the people who produce these items. Many have simply learned the skills passed down through generations. This respect is seen clearly in his and Vickie's work at Crosby Collection.

Bing also takes road trips to New Mexico at least a couple of times a year to find new inventory. His contacts will sometimes find pieces they think he'll be interested in and hold them for him to sell at Crosby Collection. The Crosbys must be doing something right because they see tourists from around the world who come to buy their unique Native American art pieces.
