This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.

Outsourcing has become a popular way for small businesses to handle areas where their limited staff might not have expertise or to save costs when budgets are tight. What they choose to outsource depends entirely on company needs, and if it's office support, the folks at P-E-C-M in Centerville are ready to assist. Their motto is, "You do what you do best and we'll do the rest."

At P-E-C-M, they offer a variety of office-support services including HR, payroll, basic accounting, reception service to screen calls and set appointments and even a dispatch for handyman service. They care for a wide range of clients because of the depth of services they offer. A major growth area is the professional sector, but they're making plans to move into the trades as the timing makes sense.

Company owners Paul Clayton and Christopher Galatro (guh-lah-trow) of P-E-C-M originally founded the business to provide full company management; however, they found that a lot of businesses didn't need to be managed entirely but were looking for support with specific tasks. It was this idea that inspired them to offer their back office support services and focus on small businesses along the Wasatch Front.

Within each area of service, they have packages businesses can choose from. Overwhelmingly though, clients use services a la carte, taking just what they need, then adding and subtracting others as they go along. P-E-C-M is highly customizable to their clients, adaptable to the needs within the business, and offers no contracts or commitments that would tie up long-term cash. It gives many small businesses the support they need, while keeping them flexible and fluid to move as the market dictates. P-E-C-M even bills to the minute, so clients aren't paying for downtime.

P-E-C-M's customers are scattered geographically throughout the state, and right now Utah is their territory, but they have an eye on expansion when it makes sense for their successful business. Their growing company is a great example of why Utah's business climate is one of the top in the nation according to Forbes Magazine.

For Zions Bank, I'm Chris Redgrave, speaking on business.
