Samson watched as someone cleaned the carpets in his home. And he thought I could do that and better. So, he got the necessary certification, bought the equipment and took the plunge to become a small business owner. He's in good company since over 90 percent of the Utah economy is comprised of small business owners. Royalty Services Group started as a side business Samson operated until he felt the time was right to take it full time.
Today Royalty Services Group has expanded their services from carpet, tile and upholstery cleaning to include all types of air duct, dryer vents and even chimney sweeping. In fact, this type of cleaning is their specialty. An important part of this business is to get the education and certification so they back up all jobs with a 100 percent guarantee. They're nationally certified through the National Air Duct Cleaners Association, or NADCA.
This certification has helped Royalty Services Group land some major accounts like the former City Library when it was being renovated into the Leonardo. They cleaned four floors of ducts. They also have performed commercial cleaning with Utah State University and the LDS Church and many buildings downtown.
During the downturn, things got tight at Royalty Services Group. However, this is when Samson discovered industrial duct cleaning, which has been a great strength to the business. He's figured out how to be in service to his clients by saying, "yes". This is how Samson was awarded the job cleaning ducts at the gold mines in Elko, Nevada.
