Press release

SALT LAKE CITY - For the fourth consecutive year, KJZZ-TV will once again broadcast the US Bank/Les Schwab Tire UHSAA High School Championships presented by Farmers Insurance. The games begin on Friday, October 30 and continue through the finals on Friday, November 20.

"We are proud to be involved with high school sports," said KJZZ General Manager Chris Baum. "Showcasing high school athletes that deserve recognition not only makes good TV, but is good for our local communities."

Live television commentators include Alema Harrington, host of PowerHouse and Steve Klauke, team broadcaster for the Salt Lake Bees; Steve Brown, sideline reporter for the Utah Jazz; and former Brighton Bengal and BYU Couger, Reno Mahe.

"The Utah High School Activities Association is excited and pleased to extend our broadcast agreement with KJZZ through the 2010 school year," said Rob Cuff, Executive Director of the UHSAA. "The commitment and dedication exhibited through the productions of our high school activities to a statewide audience have been outstanding. We appreciate the partnership and the relationship we have with those associated with KJZZ."
