SALT LAKE CITY — The Lehi Roller Mills will serve as a backdrop for Game Night Live this week as Lehi High School will host a Wednesday edition of the show on KSL 5.

The Pioneers have enjoyed a resurgence under second-year head coach David Hastings. They are coming off an impressive victory over American Fork and are currently in a three-way tie for the fourth and final playoff spot in Region 4. Lehi hasn't reached the playoffs since 2004, when they competed in the 3A classification.

There are five teams in the region with two losses, making it the most balanced and competitive region in 5A.

Sitting alone atop the region standings is the Herriman Mustangs. They are coming off a thrilling 17-14 victory over rival Riverton. A win Wednesday night at Lehi would clinch at least a share of the region title and would be the first in school history for Herriman.

Thanks to UEA, Friday Night Lights moves to Wednesday, with a full slate of games in the middle of the week:

Jordan at No. 3 Brighton, 7 p.m.

It's unlikely either team can catch Bingham at this point for the Region title but playoff position is very important and the winner of this team will likely earn the No. 2 seed in Region 3 and will host a first round playoff game against a Region 2 foe.

No. 3 Manti at No. 2 Judge Memorial, 7 p.m.

Manti has all but wrapped up the No. 1 seed in the 3A South and Judge can win the 3A North with a victory next week against Morgan. It doesn't impact playoff seeding but this is a potential state championship game preview.

No. 4 Desert Hills at No. 5 Snow Canyon, 7 p.m.

The winner faces a much easier path in the playoffs while the loser will be facing a play-in game with a trip to Juan Diego facing them if they survive.

Layton at No. 1 Davis, 7 p.m.

Davis has crushed their Region 1 opponents by a combined score of 112 to 34 with an average margin of victory of 20 points. No team in Region 1 has come within less than 14 points including fourth ranked Syracuse. Layton will get their shot at the Darts on the road and with an upset would still have a shot at a region title.
