The closer you get to the top, the less room there is to move from week to week, but the BYU Cougars are once again upwardly mobile in this week's Top 25 polls, and all the way into the top 10.

In the ESPN/USA Today Coaches' Poll, BYU is up from 13th to 10th. In the AP survey, BYU is 12th--up from 14th.

In the coaches' survey, BYU is the only ranked team in the MWC, with New Mexico 28th and UNLV tied for 36th. In the AP poll, the Lobos are 23rd and UNLV 39th.

BYU is also up to a 3 seed in the Joe Lunardi's latest Bracketology projection. About the MWC, Lunardi says:

--

"MOUNTAIN WEST (75 percent chance of three bids)- This league is loaded at the top and, unlike the Atlantic 10, has better separation. BYU and New Mexico are NCAA teams, UNLV is right there and San Diego State isn't out of the picture. The smart money says three bids when all is said and done."

-

Among "Games to Watch," he lists:

"Wed., Jan. 27, BYU @ New Mexico: This may be the last chance to derail (or at least decelerate) the BYU express. The Cougars last won at The Pit two years ago in overtime."
