SOUTH DAVIS COUNTY – It’s a real tear-jerker.

BOUNTIFUL — In a promotional video, this “couple” on the Utah Dept. of Transportation website talks about how they split, for a time.
They’re actually talking about lane splits, starting Tuesday. UDOT is replacing bridges above Interstate 15 at 1500 South, 500 South and 2600 South through South Davis County.
Northbound middle lanes will be closed through January, separating loved ones…or rather, traffic.
“I skipped my exit,” she said.
“And we were together again,” he said.
“Forever.”
“Forever.”
UDOT reminds drivers that, because large stretches of freeway will be closed, they should move over to the righthand lanes earlier in anticipation of exiting.
Southbound middle lanes close in December through February or March.
Speed limits will be reduced to 55 mph… maybe that’s a reason to get emotional.
Construction costs $130 million.
