Dealing with difficult people--- Are you an agent or a victim?
Everyone has someone that pushes them to the limit. Maybe they are taking too much control of your life or they are just frustrating. We can't just run away from them and we don't want to enable them. That person could be your spouse, your in-laws, or even your children. How do you effectively deal with these difficult people in your life? We can't just ignore, run, or argue. We need to get results with these people today. We don't want to have the same frustration day after day.
We have two choices when dealing with them: we become the victim or we start to recognize that we're an agent and can influence people. How do you exercise your agency in such a difficult situation when you feel these relationships are sucking the life out of you? Go on the offense, not the defense.
