SALT LAKE CITY — The Jazz are back up to 15 players on the roster with the newest addition Jerel McNeal.

The Jazz signed McNeal to a 10-day contract bringing him out of the D-League where he played for the Bakersfield Jam. He is the second Jazz call up this year, after the Jazz signed Travis Leslie for a 10-day contract a little less than a month ago.

McNeal is a 6'3" point guard out of Marquette who went undrafted despite being named First Team All-Big East. He is Marquette's all-time leader in scoring, steals and games played.

He is a two-time NBA D-League All-Star. This season he has averaged 18 points, 3 rebounds and 5.5 assists in 44 games with the Jam. This will be his second time in the NBA. He was signed by the Hornets to a 10-day contract two years ago. He also spent training camp with the Raptors and the Clippers.

He will wear number 23 for his stint with the team.

Updated:

The Jazz have signed Mcneal for the remainder of the season. With Enes Kanter, Alec Burks and Kevin Murphy not travelling to Golden State he will probably dress for the game on Sunday.
