MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Alec Burks scored 23 points, Gordon Hayward added 21 and the Utah Jazz handed the Memphis Grizzlies their third straight loss with a 97-91 victory Monday night.

The Jazz withstood a late push by hitting eight of 10 free throws down the stretch for their third win in the last four.

Derrick Favors finished with 15 points, while Enes Kanter added 13 points and nine rebounds. Rudy Gobert managed only two points, missing five of his six shots, but had a career-best 16 rebounds and two blocks as the Jazz dominated the boards 49-34.

Mike Conley led Memphis with 28 points and his two 3-pointers down the stretch kept the Grizzlies close. Marc Gasol finished with 24 points and 12 rebounds. Courtney Lee had 13 points and Vince Carter added 12 on 4 of 7 shooting.

Memphis continued to show the effects of a tough stretch of games that included multiple overtime contests, and playing some of the toughest teams in both conferences.

Utah connected on 9 of 19 from outside the arc to create a buffer from Memphis. Another factor, beyond the rebounding margin, was the Jazz converting 20 of 27 free throws, while Memphis went to the line only nine times in the game, making eight.

Utah led through much of the second half until Gasol connected with 5:32 left for a 77-75 Memphis lead. Burks answered with a 3-pointer, and Utah never let go of the lead.

Memphis shuffled lineups often in the first half, and at times, it seemed to stifle the offense. Still, the Grizzlies managed to stay above 50 percent through much of the half. Despite the Grizzlies' good shooting and only two turnovers, Hayward's layup in the closing seconds gave the Jazz a 44-43 lead at the break.

Burks scored 10 for Utah, and Gasol led Memphis with 14 points at the break.

The Jazz pushed the lead to six points in the third quarter, and managed to keep the Grizzlies at bay through most of the period as Hayward had nine points and Kanter added seven.

Only a defensive push by Memphis late in the frame kept the game at one possession entering the fourth.
