Kempton's double-double leads Lehigh past Lafayette 81-55

EASTON, Pa. (AP) — Tim Kempton registered his 49th career double-double with 22 points on 7-for-11 shooting and 10 rebounds to lead Lehigh to an 81-55 shellacking against Lafayette on Sunday.

Lehigh (16-11, 10-6 Patriot League) was never challenged starting the game on a 14-2 run. The Mountain Hawks led 40-24 at intermission, and went on a 5-0 run in the first 90 seconds of the second half.

Kempton later made a pair of free throws, a jumper, and a 3-point play off a layup and the Mountain Hawks were up 58-32 with 12:23 left. Kempton was perfect at the foul line in his seven attempts.

Austin Price scored 12 points for Lehigh, Kyle Leufroy added 11 points, seven rebounds and four steals, and Kahron Ross had 10 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and three steals.

Nick Linder had 15 points and Paulius Zalys had 11 and four boards for Lafayette (8-19, 4-12).
