COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) — Missouri has hired former Texas defensive line coach Brick Haley to handle the same position for the Tigers.
Haley has 26 years' experience and spent the last two at Texas until Longhorns head coach Charlie Strong was fired after a 5-7 season and his staff was not retained by new coach Tom Herman.
Texas led the Big 12 last season in quarterback sacks and tackles for loss. Before coaching at Texas, Haley spent the previous six years at LSU, where 10 of his players were selected in the NFL draft.
Details of Haley's contract with Missouri were not immediately released.
Missouri went 4-8 in coach Barry Odom's first season in 2016.
