DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — Lexie Brown made 7 of 12 from the field, including 3-of-4 3-pointers, all eight of her free-throw attempts and finished with 25 points on Thursday night to help No. 21 Duke beat Elon 68-61.

Brown hit a 3-pointer with 7:07 left to give her 1,002 career points and the redshirt junior now has 1,012.

Rebecca Greenwell and Brown each hit a 3 during a 14-4 run that made it 45-33 with 3:03 left in the third quarter. Duke (10-1) led by at least seven the rest of the way and has won five in a row.

Redshirt senior Maddie McCallie, daughter of Duke coach Joanne P. McCallie, scored three points for Elon (4-4) and Rashika White had 19 points and seven rebounds. The younger McCallie is 2-of-15 shooting this season with both makes coming from behind the arc.

The Phoenix had their five-game winning streak snapped and were limited to their lowest scoring output of the season on 33 percent shooting.

Greenwell had 12 points and Kendall Cooper scored seven with eight rebounds for the Blue Devils.
