BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Alabama freshman quarterback Jalen Hurts was among 11 Crimson Tide players making the coaches All-Southeastern teams. LSU tailback Leonard Fournette was a second-team pick, behind teammate Derrius Guice.

Hurts helped lead the top-ranked Tide to a third straight SEC title and playoff berth. He and six teammates were first-team selections, including left tackle Cam Robinson, wide receiver ArDarius Stewart, defensive end Jonathan Allen, linebacker Reuben Foster, defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick and punter JK Scott.

LSU had nine players selected while Auburn, Florida and Texas A&M each had six.

Guice and Auburn's Kamryn Pettway were the first-team tailbacks. Pettway moved from fullback in the offseason and didn't log a carry last season or in the opener against Clemson.

The AP All-SEC team will be released on Thursday.
