WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. (AP) — Justin Robinson scored 28 points and Micah Seaborn had 25 to lead Monmouth to a 94-88 victory over Canisius on Sunday.

A 3-pointer by Chris Atkinson gave Canisius a seven-point lead midway through the second half. A dunk by Mustapha Traore at the 6:10 mark capped a 9-1 run to put the Hawks back on top 79-78. A 3-point play from Robinson gave Monmouth an 89-86 lead with 2:29 left and Searborn scored the next four points for a seven-point lead with 1:10 to play.

Je'lon Hornbeak had 15 points for Monmouth (6-2, 2-0 Metro Atlantic), which shot 51 percent for the game, making 13 of 26 3-pointers. Robinson, Hornbeak and Seaborn combined for 11 treys.

Kassius Robertson had seven 3s for 28 points, both career highs, as Canisius (3-5, 1-1) tied the school record with 16 3-pointers. Jermaine Crumpton added 15 points, going 6 of 7 from the floor with three 3s.
