BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — Alexis Robinson scored 14 of her 16 points in the first quarter, Haley Smith added 12, and No. 21 Colorado jumped to an early lead and cruised past Idaho State 85-53 on Saturday night to win their eighth straight game.

Smith made a layup and back-to-back 3-pointers, and Robinson hit a pair of 3s to give the Buffaloes a 14-4 first-quarter lead. Robinson made 4 of 5 3-pointers in the quarter as the Buffaloes shot 66.7 percent (6 of 9) from long distance and led 30-11.

Monica Burich hit back-to-back jumpers and Ariana Freeman's bucket made it 42-19. Colorado led 55-25 at halftime after holding the Bengals to 22.7 percent shooting.

Idaho State outscored the Buffaloes 15-13 in the third quarter with Colorado's bench getting playing minutes, but trailed by 31 points early in the fourth quarter.

Ariana Freeman added 11 points for Colorado (8-0).

Saylair Grandon scored 11 and Lindsay Brown 10 for the Bengals (2-5).
