DELAND, Fla. (AP) — Luke Doyle hit four three pointers and scored 21 points to help lead Stetson to an easy 101-69 win over Florida College on Saturday.
Doyle finished 8 of 16 from the field overall. Divine Myles and Derick Newton each added 14 points for the Hatters (4-5), with Myles adding seven assists and Newton finishing with seven rebounds.
Eddie Moraloba finished with a game-high 22 points for Florida College. The Falcons were held to just 40.3 percent shooting from the field, 31.8 percent from 3-point range, and turned the ball over 15 times.
The Hatters led by as many as 22 in the opening period, but the Falcons battled back to a seven point halftime deficit (51-44). However a B.J. Glasford layup followed by a Kevin Ndahiro 3-point play put Stetson back up by double digits with 10:42 to go, and the Hatters cruised from there.
