DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — Brock Deatherage hit a two-run homer in the top of the 12th inning and North Carolina State rallied to beat Georgia Tech 7-5 on Friday night at the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament.

Brett Kinneman and Chance Shepard homered in the third for the fifth-seeded Wolfpack (35-20). They were one out from finishing pool play 0-3 after trailing 5-3 with two outs in the ninth.

Deatherage followed Joe Dunand's one-out single off Burton Delaney (2-5) in the 12th with an opposite-field drive over the 32-foot wall in left.

Johnny Piedmonte struck out the side in the bottom of the 12th to save it for Will Gilbert (4-1)

N.C. State tied it at 5 on pinch-hitter Tommy DeJuneas' two-run single off Matthew Gorst with two outs in the ninth. That came immediately after centerfielder Ryan Peurifoy dropped Shane Shepard's routine fly ball.

The ninth-seeded Yellow Jackets (36-23) finished pool play 0-3.
