OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Alex Wise had two hits and drove in five runs as Oklahoma totaled 17 hits to eliminate top seed Texas Tech with a 17-4 victory at the Big 12 Conference Tournament on Friday.
The Sooners (30-26-1) advance to face West Virginia on Saturday morning, while the Red Raiders (41-16) await their NCAA Tournament destination after back-to-back losses following an opening win over Kansas State on Wednesday.
Eight Oklahoma batters had two hits, with Austin O'Brien adding a home run and three RBIs. Dylan Grove (3-1) earned the win while allowing four runs in seven innings of work.
Anthony Lyons had three hits to lead Texas Tech, while Michael Davis added a home run. Starter Steven Gingery (4-2) lasted only 2 2/3 innings, allowing eight runs — three earned.
