Pepperdine edges Pacific in overtime 65-63

STOCKTON, Calif. (AP) — Lamond Murray Jr. scored 20 points while Amadi Udenyi had the go-ahead score and a game-saving steal in overtime to help Pepperdine edge Pacific 65-63 Saturday night.

Tied at 59 with 2:09 left in the extra period, Udenyi got the first of two free throws to put Pepperdine back on top, then Murray dropped in a layup to pad it. Pacific twice cut the deficit back to a point before Jeremy Major hit a free throw to stretch Pepperdine's advantage to 65-63 with 15 seconds left.

Udenyi got the steal to cement the win.

Stacy Davis added 12 points and 12 rebounds for Pepperdine (16-10, 9-6 West Coast Conference) and Major finished with 11 points.

Pacific (7-17, 5-9) forced overtime with a 3-pointer from Ilias Theodorou to tie it at 56 at the end of regulation.

Alec Kobre led the Tigers with 22 points and Ray Bowles added 10.
