RENO, Nev. (AP) — Cameron Oliver had 20 points and a career-high 24 rebounds and Eric Cooper Jr made three straight free throws in the final minute to seal Nevada's 77-72 overtime win over Fresno State on Saturday night.
Fresno State scored seven of the first nine points in the extra period to take a 70-65 lead. But the Wolf pack (15-9, 7-5 Mountain West) responded by piecing together a 9-2 scoring stretch, seven of which came at the free-throw line, to take a 74-72 lead with 25 seconds to go. The final three free throws came from Cooper Jr.
Oliver and Tyron Criswell combined to go 3 of 4 from the line to close it out for Nevada.
D.J. Fenner tied a career-high with 24 points for Nevada.
Marvelle Harris had 25 points and 12 boards for Fresno State (16-9, 7-5), which did not have a field goal in the final 4:20 of overtime.
