RUSTON, La. (AP) — Erik McCree scored a career-high 33 points and Louisiana Tech came back from a seven-point halftime deficit to beat UAB 85-76 on Saturday.

McCree hit 11 of his 20 attempts from the field. Alex Hamilton added 20 points and eight assists for Louisiana Tech (19-6, 8-4 Conference USA), which has won six of seven.

Nick Norton finished with 20 points to lead UAB (21-5, 11-2), whose loss snaps a four game win streak. Chris Cokley had 16 points and eight rebounds for the Blazers.

UAB led 36-29 at the half and 45-37 with 15:26 left to play. But Louisiana Tech ripped off a 32-13 scoring stretch over the next 10 minutes, highlighted by 3-pointers on four consecutive possessions, to take 69-58 lead.

UAB cut the deficit to 71-67 with 3:29 left, but a Hamilton 3-pointer pushed it back to 74-67 and the Blazers never got back within five.
