Northeastern downs Drexel 70-60 behind Walker

BOSTON (AP) — David Walker scored 21 points with five 3-pointers and five assists to lead Northeastern to a 70-60 win over Drexel on Saturday for the Dragons' 10th straight loss.

Quincy Ford scored 16 points, surpassing the 1,500 mark in his career, and Jeremy Miller added 10 for the Huskies (14-13, 6-8 Colonial), who led 39-24 at halftime. Northeastern shot 52 percent from the field, made 11 of 21 3-pointers and never trailed.

Drexel gained ground with a 12-5 run early in the second half, in which Sammy Mojica hit two 3-pointers, then pulled within 68-60 on Rashann London's layup with 1:02 left.

Miller made a layup and the Dragons missed two shots before time expired.

Rodney Williams scored a career-high 23 points for Drexel (3-22, 1-13) and Mojica added 13.

The Huskies shot 61 percent in the first half, with Ford scoring 12 and Walker making 4 of 4 3-pointers.
