BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) — Curtis Cobb scored 20 points and Matija Milin added a career-high 19 points plus nine rebounds to lead Fairfield to an 80-70 victory over Manhattan on Sunday.
Tyler Nelson scored 12 points, including the Stags' last six at the free-throw line in the final 30 seconds. Jerry Johnson Jr. made three 3-pointers and scored 11 points for Fairfield (13-11, 7-7 Metro Atlantic Athletic), which shot 53 percent and split the season series with the Jaspers. Jonathan Kasibabu had 10 boards to lead a whopping 44-18 rebounding advantage.
Shane Richards scored 22 points, Calvin Crawford 12 and Thomas Capuano 10 for the Jaspers (9-12, 6-6).
Fairfield led by 16 at halftime and was up 19 with 11:17 left before the Jaspers got within six with two minutes remaining. From there, the Stags made 9 of 11 free throws.
