NEW YORK (AP) — DeAndre Bembry scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as Saint Joseph's downed Fordham 82-60 on Saturday.

Shavar Newkirk added 17 points and three rebounds for the Hawks (19-4, 8-2 Atlantic 10). Isaiah Miles and Lamarr Kimble had 13 points apiece. The team hit 51 percent from the field, 91.7 percent from the line and had a 41-28 rebounding edge over Fordham.

Newkirk, Kimble and Papa Ndao combined for eight 3-pointers in the first half and the Hawks took a 40-30 lead at halftime.

Fordham's Joseph Chartouny sank a 3-pointer to start the second half but the Rams (12-9, 3-7) never threatened as Miles hit two consecutive 3-pointers and Newkirk sank a third to help stretch the Hawks lead to 65-44 with 10:04 to play.

Christian Sengfelder and Ryan Rhoomes scored 16 points apiece for the Rams.
