RADFORD, Va. (AP) — Shakir Brown hit five 3-pointers and had 20 points, and Joey McLean scored five of his 13 in the final 57 seconds to help James Madison hold off Radford for a 70-68 win Monday night.

Jackson Kent added 11 points for James Madison (5-3).

Brown hit a 3 with 16:27 left to put the Dukes up 50-31 but Radford (4-3) scored 25 of the next 34 to pull within four, 59-55, on a layup by Cameron Jones with 5:46 to play.

A jumper by Jones tied it at 63 with 1:13 remaining before a 3-pointer by McLean put James Madison in front for good with 57 seconds left.

Rashun Davis scored five points in the final 12 seconds and, after he intentionally missed the second of two free throws with two seconds left, Sterling Christy missed a potential game-winning 3-pointer as time expired.

Davis led the Highlanders with 22 points.
