RICHMOND, Ky. (AP) — Jarelle Reischel scored 16 points with a career-best nine assists to help Eastern Kentucky roll to a 101-67 victory over Division III Thomas More on Wednesday.
Reischel added nine rebounds and a career-high five steals. Nick Mayo scored a career-high 21 points on 9-of-11 shooting, and JaVontae Hawkins added 16 points for the Colonels (5-1), who scored more than 100 points for the third time this season.
Junior Stockwell scored 11 points, and Austin Young and Sawyer Pauly added nine apiece for Thomas More.
Stockwell scored seven straight points to pull the Saints within one, 30-29, midway through the first half. K.J. Bluford answered with a 3-pointer and the Colonels used an 18-6 run to take a 51-35 halftime lead.
Hawkins scored eight points and Reischel added seven as part of an 18-6 surge to open the second half and the Colonels cruised from there.
