DENTON, Texas (AP) — Victor Sanders made four 3-pointers and scored 15 points, Perrion Callandret added 13 points and Idaho beat Troy 69-63 on Tuesday night in the Mean Green Showcase.

Sanders missed his first eight shots from the field, then hit four straight 3-pointers to give Idaho a 55-39 lead with 8:42 to play. The Vandals would extends their lead to 20 points, but Troy's 17-2 run cut its deficit to five with 15.6 seconds to go.

Arkadiy Mkrtychyan made 1 of 2 free throws in the final seconds to seal it.

Mkrtychyan finished with 10 points for Idaho (4-1). Sanders was 4 of 14 from the field.

Wesley Person led Troy (2-3) with 27 points. John Walton III had 16 points and eight rebounds, and B.J. Miller added 10 points.
