The feeling is mutual. I am one of those crazy Mormon Wyo fans and never been treated as bad as in Lavell Edwards Stadium. The condescending and rude remarks about sheep and women were awful. It goes both ways. Keep living in your bubble.

I am sure it is going to be bad on Saturday...always has. But not all of the fans are like that.

If BYU loses and then spirals down with a mediocre record (like 7-5 with one more win at New Mexico & loses to Air Force & Utah), look for Bronco to insist on making significant changes. If it is resisted by the powers that be in Provo, look for him to take Dan Hawkins (on the real hot seat) place a few miles down the road from Laramie in Boulder. Mendenhall and his coordinators are not happy with some of the other staff is what I'm hearing...but LaVell has been extremely adamant (& powerful as a key fund raiser for BYU) that his successors hold onto staff he hired as head coach. This is a demand that is killing BYU more than player depth with team speed. Edwards needs to be more supportive of Bronco as a head coach than loyal to staffers that worked under him.

What has happened to you? Your comments are getting weaker by the minute. You use to have somewhat more substanial posts before the TCU loss. It is okay if your team sucks this year. I too know the pain of having a subpar favorite team. However, I do not live in the past thinking about the 1984 superbowl (the Raiders actually earned their national title that year).

How do you like the comment from Bronco that there will be no changes in the system? Does that make you happy? Does that upset you? Why do you think a coach who can see deficiencies in their system isn't willing to make changes and correct the problem?

You do realize that it's very easy for teams to prepare for BYU because they are TOO consistent. The same plays, the same formations, the same thing week after week. The only changes have come when Max Hall calls the plays himself while on the field, which is when they seem to be their best offensively.

So, please, will you Cougar fans let us know what you think about Bronco not making any changes whatsoever during a season where your team has been blown out twice at home.

There is no fire, or desire to win. I am sick of watching the other team come into Provo and show motivation and excitement to play. Bronco even said he had to calm down the players before the TCU game. Well that worked well. If you want drones that show no emotion then don't recruit 18-year-olds that want to win. Emotion is part of the game. Watch any other team play a big game, they are jumping around and showing desire to play. Now watch BYU they are standing around like they are uninterested.

Bronco did not say "that there will be no changes in the system." In fact, in the interview you are attempting to mis-quote, he specifically said that there would be personnel changes where needed and appropriate. He DID say that that "We're not gonna change for the sake of change" and he isn't planning any "radical changes" right now. In other words, he will make changes from week to week just as any other good coach would, but he will not change the entire football program at BYU, as some have been demanding, simply because random fans say that he should.

While the two teams have not necessarily been strong at the same time, the two teams have the most conference championships in the Mountain West Conference (MWC). Each team has had four conference championships since the creation of the MWC in 1999. Utah claims twenty-six conference championships in its history, while BYU, which started later, claims twenty-three.
