SALT LAKE CITY — BYU and Utah State both got wins this weekend over Middle Tennessee and San Jose State, respectively. The KSL Sports team has voted and they've selected BYU quarterback Taysom Hill as this week's ksl.com Player of the Week.
Player of the Week:
Taysom Hill, QB, BYU
Taysom Hill threw for 177 yards on 14 for 19 passing (with one interception), and ran for 165 yards and two touchdowns, leading BYU to a 37-10 home victory over Middle Tennessee. Hill leads all FBS quarterbacks in rushing yards per game (141.2) and rushing touchdowns (6); he is 15th nationally in total offense yards per game (326.5). His 50-yard touchdown run against Middle Tennessee is his third scoring romp of 50+ yards in only six career starts. This season, Hill leads all FBS players with 24 runs from scrimmage of ten yards or longer.
Honorable mention:
Kyler Fackrell, LB, Utah State
Kyler Fackrell tied a career high with 11 tackles, one sack and 1.5 tackles for loss in the Aggies' win against San Jose State.
